Fall at Home Once More Dining Room

We have done up the  house once again for Fall. Not a bunch of decorating but enough for us to enjoy.
Here are some shots of the dining room.

Turkeys on the old buffet. Have them sitting on my Cotton Boll quilted runner I made in memory of my Mama. She had fond family memories of the cotton fields of Missouri where she was born and raised.

The old buffet belonged to DH's Grandmother then Aunt Dot. It originally came from Boykins Tavern at Isle of Wight, VA. Has only been here a few weeks. DH has some minor repair to do to it. The butter churn crock is from my family and the bigger crock from DH's Dad's family.

We placed it at the end of the dining room. Seems like it has always been there now!

Corner where I put a lot of my old enamelware collection. The small wash stand to the left was one I got at the same auction as the green one.

Looking at the wall and corner from doorway into living room.

The owl wall hanging  I made 20+ years ago. Ordered fabrics and pattern from a catalog.
Pie safe holds brown transfer ware and some old family quilts.

Looking into living room.  When we moved the buffet in we had to move everything all around. So this area was set up. The blue cabinet is waiting for me to paint it black! I love the old cross frames and vintage stitchery too.

My sweet Fall tree sitting on an old school desk! The wool pumpkin runner is one I made a few years ago. I also painted the Jack wooden bowl. The candy corn candles were a gift to my Mama. She adored Candy Corn.

I made the banner across doorway 2 yrs ago. Some fun fabric. The wooden ironing board was Aunt Dot's.
The  Fall hanging was made a few years ago.

The big yellow ware bowl was DH's Grandmother's and the brown baker too. The corn bowls were Aunt Dot's.
My table grouping. The lamp in the back ground on the buffet was my Aunt Alma's. I just added a smaller shade to make it a buffet lamp!;-) I made the quilted table runner.

We have so many family treasures in our home from our Mama's, Aunts and Uncles, Grandparents, Greats and Greats! It is like being surrounded by family!
They are mixed in with lovely things we have been lucky to win at auctions, find at thrift and antique shops, even at yard sales!

Hope you enjoyed this part of the tour! Living room in next post!
